TB Control Project




- Started: October 2017
- Goal: Help and cure the patients from TB and eradicate TB in this area through creation of awareness
- Description: To provide supplemental nutritional food and medicine to the TB patients who are getting some help from the Government and who still need continued supplements. This project was started with 45 patients receiving the supplemental materials. Later 80 patients newly joined. To date, through supplemental medication about 65 patients are out of need for regular medication. New patients are coming in groups and currently, the Trust is serving 60 with more than 100 in line to join the group
- Duration – Until patient is cured
- Beneficiaries:TB patients from in and around Ambattur area, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India
- Materials Provided: Trust provides supplemental medicine and nutrition
- Cost: INR 45,000/Month to support 50 patients (including salaries to Project Manager and the Health Worker)

- Started:October 2017
- Goal: To develop self-employment
- Description: This project was started with the view to train women in the area to attain self-sufficiency, helping the graduating students with regular/self-employment
- Duration: Each batch 6 Months
- Beneficiaries:Women from In and around Ambattur
- Completed Batches:3 batches of 36 students each
- Materials Provided:Trust provides learning and stitching materials
- Most Recent Batch: 36 women completed and certified in July 2019
- Next Batch:36 women getting trained until end of January 2020
- Cost: INR 56,000 /Month (including salaries to tailoring teacher, rent, and tailoring materials)

- Started: 3rd Quarter of 2018
- Goal: To help under privileged children going to school whose economic status does not allow them to obtain additional education help in the form of attending high priced tuition classes after school through conducting free evening classes. Provide school supplies to under privileged children provide school and college fees to the needy children.
- Duration: Yearly
- Beneficiaries: Under privileged children in the Ambattur and surrounding areas(Provided school supplies for 95 students so far.. (November 2017, for 50 students and June 2018 for 45 students).
- Materials: Trust provides educational materials to the children and provides them healthy snacks after coaching classes.
- For the year of 2019 the trust paid educational fee (School and college for 10)
- Cost: INR 2,80,000 / Year.
- Tuition Center
- Started: 3rd Quarter of 2018

- Started:May 2018
- Goal: These HIV Positive tested unfortunate children find it hard to house themselves. Our goal is to provide a place for them to house themselves, provide them nutritional food, and support them until college. Currently, the Trust has rented a small building to house these children and is actively working on finding a land to build a place for these children.
- Current happening: Currently, we are housing 8 children and taking care of them fully. This number is expected to go to 15 by the 3rd quarter of 2020, stressing the need to find a permanent place to house them
- Materials: Trust provides Nutritional food and clothing for these children.
- Providing Nutritional support for 10 HIV adult patients who live in outskirts of Chennai
- Hockey Club has been established for the kids to promote sports for their physical well-being.
- Cost: INR 1,24,000 (Housing rent, cook Salary and food etc.) school and college fees has been included in the educational cost.
